Dr Margaret Evers
Dr Evers is the owner and founder of the practice and has been a local GP in the area for almost 10 years. Prior to that she has practiced in Warrandyte, Wantirna and Collingwood. She has a young family so has first hand knowledge of what its like bringing up a family. Dr Evers has strong expertise in women’s and children’s health in addition to her well rounded GP skillset.. Dr. Evers is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practioners (RACGP).
Dr Hilda Jessop
Dr Hilda Jessop has worked in the UK and Australia, with many years of experience in a wide range of general practice and with special interest in mental health wellbeing. Dr Jessop is a dedicated doctor who is also very keen to support patients in adapting a healthy lifestyle and taking a preventative approach to illness. Dr Jessop will be consulting at the practice on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays. Evening appointments are also available with her
Dr Jessop enjoys to go cycling and bushwalking with her family.
Dr Sumay Sudarmana
Dr Sumay Sudarmana graduated from the University of Queensland in 1984, and did her hospital training both in Brisbane and Melbourne. She has been in general practice since 1989, and has also worked at our practice since then, making it 27 years in total. She is interested in all aspects of general practice.
She is married with 2 children, and spends her spare time cooking, cake decorating, and listening to classical music.
Dr Uma Swaminathan
Dr Uma Swaminathan joined BSMC as a GP in 1995, and has more than 35 years experience in General Medicine. She has worked in various public hospitals and private clinics across Eastern Australia.
While she deals with all aspects of General Medicine, her special areas of interest are in Women’s Health, including Antenatal Care, Paediatrics and preventative medicine. She is a keen gardener and avid reader, particularly of classic literature.
Dr Shirley Tang
Dr Shirley Tang graduated from medical school in 1985, and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice, (RACGP) in 2011. She has a particular interest in family medicine, women’s health, mental health, dermatology, aged care and implanon insertion removal. She has joined our practice since March 2011.
Dr Ju-Min Wong
Dr Ju-Min Wong graduated from Monash Medical School in 1996 and undertook extensive post graduate training in Brisbane in General Medicine, Oncology and other disciplines before deciding that his passion lay in family medicine. He went on to complete and become a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2007. He is active in teaching medical students from the University of Melbourne and has previously worked as a supervisor for General Practice Registrars in Brisbane as well. He enjoys most areas of medicine and loves making a difference in the health care of all ages from the very young to the elderly. Doctor consults on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Dr Wong enjoys listening to music, is an avid reader and a culture buff. He is married with two young children.
Dr Yashar Zadeh
Dr Yashar finished his General Practice training in Gippsland in 2013. Prior to this he was working in a variety of hospital rotation including Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry and Paediatrics.
Yashar is an experience General Practitioner whose interests are in child health, mental health and skin cancer, all of which he as further training in. He is fluent in English and Persian.
When he is not practicing, he enjoys spending time with his family. Yashar has two young children.
He also enjoys gardening and photography.
Dr Leighton Wong
Dr Leighton Wong graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2010. He has worked in a variety of places around Australia including Adelaide, Sydney and the NSW Central Coast. As a junior doctor, he worked as a physician trainee before going on to complete general practice training, obtaining his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in early 2017. His special interests include chronic disease management, mental health, travel medicine and procedural medicine. He is trained to perform Implanon insertion and removal, skin excisions and toe nail resections.
When not at work, he can be found planning his next bizarre travel destination or attempting to learn a new language.
Dr Sukhwinder Sing Marwaha
MBBS, FRACGP, Diploma Child Health, Cert. in Skin Cancer Medicine
Dr Marwaha has been practicing as a GP for almost 20 years. He has a certificate in dermatology and also Skin Cancer medicine. He has also developed further interest & training in paediatrics.

Group Practice Manager
Lauren received her Bachelor of Nursing degree at Deakin Burwood in 2013.
She completed a Graduate year at Epworth and continues to work for Epworth Rehabilitation in Brighton for a number of years.
She enjoys all areas of general practice, particularly would care and immunisations. She has recently completed an immunisation course and is an Accredited Nurse Immuniser.
Yvette received her Bachelor of Nursing from ACU in 2009.
She completed her graduate year at Box Hill Hospital then went on to work at the Royal Children’s Hospital until 2017. While working at the hospital she worked in Neuroscience, Respiratory and General Medicine.
Yvette enjoys all aspects of practice nursing and still has a special interest in children’s health.
Dr Justin Kuay
Dr Justin is a general adult psychiatrist with a special interest in psychotherapy. He is a graduate of Melbourne University and is available on Thursdays.
Dr Nicole Papadopoulos
Dr Nicole is a Greek speaking Clinical Psychologist with a special interest in autism, ADHD, anxiety and mood related disorders. She is also a senior research fellow at the Deakin Child Study Centre. Nicole’s treatment approach is client centred drawing on evidence-based treatments, including cognitive behavioural therapy.
Kenny is a very experienced and all-rounded cardiac sonographer and cardiac technologist. He has been scanning for over 25 years with experience in both paediatric and adult patients.
In recent years, Kenny developed a keen interest in the area of stress echocardiography and have performed in excess of 11 000 stress echo studies in the last 5 years alone, whilst concurrently maintaining a busy load with transthoracic echocardiograms, as well as training and mentoring a new trainee cardiac sonographer.
Kenny is a highly competent cardiac sonographer with strong emphasis on workplace excellence, integrity and quality.
Your Foot Clinic Team
Laura graduated from LaTrobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Masters in Podiatric Practice in 2018. Laura gained valuable experience working in a private podiatry setting as an orthotic technician for two years where she performed footwear and orthotic modifications for patients to aid recovery, reduce pain and prevent injury re-occurrence. Laura provides everything from routine podiatry care as well as diabetic and geriatric care. Laura is a keen sportswoman, playing both netball and football locally.
Brett returned to University and in 2018 graduated from LaTrobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Masters in Podiatric Practice. Brett has always had a keen interest in the way people walk, run and move. He enjoys treating a variety of patients from all walks of life but has a particular interest in rehabilitation from injury which allows him to form management plans to ensure quick relief and long-term improvements. Brett is a keen cyclist; and find this allows him to relate to a lot of the issues and injuries that patients present with.
Ginn has a background in clinical pharmacy. Her previous involvement in diabetes education includes teaching at a Diploma and Graduate level and providing support to care staff at a residential aged care facilities across Victoria, In addition to working in a General Practice setting, Ginn also provides Home Medicine Review services to people in Melbourne Inner East. She finds promoting a food understand of both non-pharmacological and pharmacological management of health conditions leads to the best patient outcomes.
